Hi Everyone,  It's January, it's cold, but Natchez is still a great place to visit.  The Mississippi River is high at Natchez, but we are high and dry. Please remember, Natchez  was settled up here on a 200 foot bluff  some 300 years ago because of it's level above the river.  So come on and visit.  Our tour homes are open.  Our museums, antique stores, restaurants and shops are open for business.  Sunset at the Mississippi River Bluffs is still a beautiful photo op.  Go to http://natchezms300.com/events/calendar/ for a full listing of upcoming Natchez Events.
Visit our FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/bislandhouse/?ref=hl and read our daily Natchez History minutes from our National Park Service.    Hope to see you soon, Christine

As Christmas is fast approaching, I would like to take this time to wish our guests a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  2016 should be exciting for Natchez with all the Tricentennial events planned.  Bisland House Bed and Breakfast has been very fortunate this year.  We have made many new friends with our guests and have enjoyed spending time with each of you.  Enjoy your holidays, and remember to hug the loved ones and spend as much time as you can with them.  We look forward to 2016 and meeting new friends (our guests) and revisiting with old ones.  Please have a blessed, safe, and prosperous New Year. News from Natchez, Mississippi

The Hot Air Balloons have come and gone.  The weather was beautiful except for the wind, so unfortunately the balloons did not fly.  Read the Blog of Melanie and Mark Spencer and see that they still had plenty to do in Natchez, even if the balloons didn't get to take off. Melanie Warner Spencer and her husband Mark Spencer are travel writers from New Orleans.

This week Natchez,Mississippi was also voted USA today's Mississippi choice for

Idyllic America: Picturesque towns in each State. Click on the link below to see the choices for all 50 States.

Lewis Jordan Brown

We at Bisland House were lucky enough to have the Brown family from Bournemouth, England owners of the Wyvern Hotel in Bournemouth, England.  Check out this video of Lewis Jordan Brown, just 14 years old and a BIG fan of Jerry Lee Lewis.  He recently was invited and  performed at Jerry Lee Lewis's 80th Birthday Party in Memphis.  For more information on this very talented teenager go to his website www.lewisjordanbrown.com.  Lewis was nice enough to perform after breakfast for us and our guests each morning of their stay at Bisland House.  Thank you guys for choosing Bisland House Bed and Breakfast. Maybe one day we can travel to England and stay with you at Wyverton Hotel.
